The Basics

Introduction and Basic Description

4-OH-MET (metocin) is a close chemical analogue of psilocin, the active psychedelic in magic mushrooms. As such, metocin has similar effects to magic mushrooms, causing visual distortions and altered thought processes.

Timeline of Experience

The effects of metocin generally begin within half an hour to an hour after administration and last for four to six hours.

Effects

Please help develop this section by giving a brief description of the main effects of this drug.

Dosages

Metocin is almost always encountered as the fumurate salt. Usual dosage for this form of the drug is between 10 and 20 milligrams, although experienced users may feel comfortable using more than this. It is generally good practice to take a smaller "allergy dose" of a new chemical to ensure that no particularly undesirable reaction occurs.

Method of administration

Metocin is generally used orally.
