PC PC Gamers - Whatcha playin?

Currently playing the old classic "Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines". Such an awesome RPG. I've heard everytime somebody mentions it, someone, somewhere reinstalls the game. I've heard there is also a cool story expansion mod that I will try out once I have finished the game (for the one billionth time since its release lol).
There is something about those early 2000s games that I really, really love. Everything from the game I just mentioned, to the Prince of Persia trilogy (especially warrior within), the original F.E.A.R. game, Diablo II, Deus Ex, Condemned: Criminal Origins, and World of Warcraft Classic (the latter is perhaps even more addictive than shooting heroin lol). You just cannot beat the story, atmosphere and gameplay of these games.

I think the reason those games were good is because they were made by gamers for gamers, whereas modern games are essentially made by businessmen. Everything revolves around maximizing the profit margin these days, which leads to rehashing old concepts, reusing in-game assets for the millionth time, dumbing down and streamlining the gaming experience to appeal to mentally retarded kiddos and an overall shallow gaming experience. There is just something about modern games that is soulless, boring and forgettable.

Sorry for rambling, but I had to get this off my chest for some reason. Hope you are enjoying your games on this nice Sunday.
