The Butterfly Dance Ritual
(Rites of Spring)

Presented by Goahead Productions

Saturday, April 24, 2004 - Cleveland, OH

Come celebrate The Rites of Spring with the Goahead family and experience art, music and dance. We love you and thank you for all of your past support! We are happy to have many of our friends as a part of this ritual, which will surely add to the vibe!

Lineup:

Magnetrixx - live - Cologne, Germany
Tastsu, Medium, Leviathan - http://www.magnetrixx.de

MAGNETRIXX is mastermind Stefan Lewin with the assistance of Heike Fahrmeyer from Cologne, Germany. Their music is futuristic, tribal, and mysterious -- but most of all, it is deeply hypnotic! With releases on Tatsu, Medium, LEviathan, and other labels, they have become one of the top German Psy-Trance producers.

They took the tribes on a mind warping journey through the forest at Four quarters in Artemis, P.A at last summer's Gaian mind festival. Now they return to Cleveland to jack you back in. Don't miss thier first ever pb-cle area performance!

Wake up to the trance dance experience! http://www.touchsamadhi.com

Ancient places of power where our ancestors gathered to conduct sacred ceremonies, celebrating their connection to the earth, sky and to each other. These sites provided the focus for the community ritual where we danced all night around huge fires to celebrate the seasons and empower ourselves as one tribe united in spirit. As we danced on the earth the power of these sites was released into our bodies, giving us strength and connecting us to Gaia. Then the religions of fear took hold. They destroyed our sacred sites and our rituals, burning all who dared to question. But the power could not be suppressed forever and the great cycles of time have brought us full circle to this new moment and we gather once again. The ancient memory has been reawakened, the all night dance ritual has returned. We are once again experiencing the mystical power of the Trance.

I had such a blast!! =D Everything went smooth. The attendence was a little low, but not too bad...got about 100 people. We had peeps come from Detroit, Bowling Green, Louisville, Cincy, Akron, Datyon, Pittsburgh and West Virginia. Over half the people that were there were from out of town. I was the one there from detroit. i truly appreciated the one of a kind vibe that was presented at this party. everyone we met was unique and seemed to contain there own universe, and its been a long time since i've been able to come back from a party and sit here pondering the beauty of it all... (which i still am).

the music was inspiring and invoked this sort of... multidimensional transcendence. i've never had the chance to hear any goa or psy-trance live, and i honestly fell in love with it. kri was amazing, as well as all of the other dj's. every single one had there one style and dimensionary depth that is so often lost in the ever-so-common *boom-boom-boom*.

i'm really excited about the festival which i'll be posting on this forum shortly.

the only downside to this night was getting back home. we ended up having to drive a friend back to columbus... which was fine, up until we got a flat... and realized we had no money for a fresh tire. so we drove on the donut all the way back to michigan (a good 7 hour drive), and had to take interestates that went under 60 the whole way. normally i'd be mad... but the beauty at the atmosphere at that party really touched me to the point of not really caring about the drive, it gave me time to think and sort things out.... it's all-ll-ll good.

I had a great time! Awesome vibe, and no shady people. I like the way that the Eagles Nest was set up and decorated, too. It was a small turnout, but it didn't seem to matter cuz the music was good and everyone was having fun :)

Glad to hear you both had a good time. The kids on the “Scene Ohio” message board (with the exception of 1) said the vibe was shitty, but the music was good. They all also said there were a lot of narcs. I don’t recall seeing any at all. Again, glad to hear you all had fun. Our next party of that scale will most likely be in October with another international live psytrance headliner. :)

I was also from the Detroit area, along with Zen Trancer, and I had a blast also... music great, people great, and like he said, the entire time home, obstacle here, there, although "shit happens" I thought the night/next day went perfect and knew we'd get back somehow. I had a very good feeling afterwards for a couple days (until i got sick though :X ).
