We bleed into each other just to seep right through
And it's something like love,
the damage we do

Submerged in static, all battered and bruised
And it's something like love,
the weapons we use

Like the rush of morphine, those chemical jewels
and it's something like love,
that turns us to fools

The wet rasp of lust from lips busted and blue
And it's something like love,
what's dripping from you

The maps of mistakes like lost roads in our shoes
And it's something like love,
the battles we lose

A bouquet of corpses, the wreath on your head
And it's something like love,
the petals we shed

We just go in circles like flies trapped in jars
And it's something like love
that reminds us of wars

A thousand "I miss you" on pages crumbled and black
And it's something like love,
when it's not coming back

We sat by the shoreline and got lost in the mist
And it's something like love,
when I miss you like this

Among the wishes we said and the curses we spoke
There was something like love,
that cruel little joke

Beautiful, as expected, with deft rhyming and rhythm. As I've said ad infinitum, you have a gift with words and imagery.

Great poem, and a strong finish.
