Misc UK Study : Ibogaine in Non-Dependent Opioid Users

I don't push my luck. Other than one shittt batch that barely got me high, I haven't touched an opiate in over 6 months

Is that through choice or lack of supply?

If the former, then you can't really say you're addicted.

If the latter, then when you find a regular supply, you're fucked...

Both, though I did literally flee a city to get away from it, one I may be moving back to.

I've been able to stop myself after a 2 week binge a few times, but that particular stuff was super high quality .

Other opiates than heroin, however, I can control a lot easier and that's more a supply issue.

I managed to avoid becoming dependent upon heroin for 13 years after my first IV hit at 17. But I would say I was pretty much addicted straight away as I wanted it all the time, but due to not moving in the 'right' circles, it was sporadic. But once I found the supply, that addiction crossed over to physical dependence pretty bloody quickly.

For the record, I would be well up for some ibogaine.

Recreationally, psychedelically therapeutic, but would it not possibly help me with my lost control benzo habit?

I’m no opioid user but surely Ibogaine may help with at least the psychological side of my benzo addiction.

I’m simply not managing to address that in particular one bit, hence no road to committed tapering to deal with the physical side.

Yeah, I know I'm no better than anyone which gives me extreme caution with chipping, id love an opiate right now tbh but not enough to seek it out.

I've managed maybe, 10 years? So far. I don't know I was 18 when I first tried heroin, 28 now, tho I had done pharms way before that.

Reading bluelight for some many years and stories like yours is why I avoid it these days as I saw myself slipping.

Id actually be down for this but a few things make me kind of ineligible :/

I just wonded if it could interrupt some poorly understood mechanics of addiction in general, or eliminate cravings, for someone who didn't get dependent. I've even heard of it helping ppl get off coke?

gotta say £1200 in vouchers is pretty lame for having to take 5 days leave from work + a load of time for their appointments, even if i likely live within a half hour walk (not qualified anyway).

i wonder if the not dependent bit is to make it easier to get ethical approval for the study - and presumably if they get promising results from this, in that the users reduce their use, they will be in a better position to get approval to test on addicts.

i had to look that up and i really don't know why i didn't automatically guess it was porn related.
Truth, yes. I'm waiting for let's test zomorph on long tdrm smoking heroin heads. I've done my own test run. I like them. I'm going dizzy thinking of cgl. Let the weekend pass
