my favorite letters to use in my first guess are c,k,h,l
I can't really explain it but in my experience those seem to be the most informative

I used to use "cause" a lot but I stopped because I think it's sometimes counterproductive to use so many vowels and get a bunch of yellow tiles. You're still left stumped when you have no consonants to build on.
