Yeah the more choice we have, the better chance we'll pick a gud'un... got a PM allowance of 500, so plenty of space for applications. ;)

its up to you but ive been advised to find something to keep me occupied by therapist and this could be good for me to do

I had much the same reasoning when I was applying amongst other things.

There's no harm in sending us in an application, why not aim high, all will be considered. :) (you can look back to the first post for what we expect in it...)

thats what i was thinking with this dan its some thing to keep me occupied you see i need some thing house bound at the minute while get this anxiety disorder problem sorted

and thanks chat i will i know i am not the best of candidates but it will give me something to do and help keep me from just trolling the sites for new drugs to try :) and if i can help people to stop them from ending up like ive been it all helps ill give it thought as to what to write
 
I actually think thats a pretty good reason to apply.
Heck even if you dont get it, i bet you can still sidekick and help around. Heaven knows you add content ;)

By the way, there are more than 1 openings for mods on other subforums as well...

Out of curiosity, how much time do current/former mods dedicate to modding?
It seems awfully time consuming on a higher volume subforum...

As you might imagine it can vary a lot... sometimes a lot of time is spent posting & others times a lot of time is spent modding.

Then you have to factor in that some mods are more active than others... there is no hard & fast rule as to how much time one should commit. I'll just leave it at sufficient time, but checking in each day would be ideal.

That's why there is a question on that... we are interested to see how much time people are willing/able to commit. A lot of it just comes down to how active you are yourself though.

well thats one thing i have plenty of time as ive no job at the minute because of my mental health problems and think this could be a good idea as to help me with interactions with other people
 
Foolsgold I don't doubt your possible abilities as a qood Mod for the future. Especially as you seem so positive and together right now. But I think applying or doing it right now wouldn't be such a good thing. you seem so focused on continuing to feel better in yourself that the last thing you need is to be caught up in some Mod/infraction..new people pming you and their shit.Just put all your energies into you right now...and next time the mod seat needs filling I will fly a flag for you =D

Swampy you would be great but with RL shizzle could ya, would ya want it? kingme and Marmz and Bob Funkhouse would imo be good runners. Marmz not really here though is she. There are a lot of people with great experience and advice to offer that I haven't mentioned purely because they have RL stuff overwhelming them or they may care TOO much and get over involved and that has a negative effect on them...for the record the Mods do do a great job I think but fuck me I couldn't do it for all the meth in lab. No way Jose.. <3

^^^^ I totally agree with you there, Inflo, about FG. I think you said the same to me, didn't you FG that you need to focus on you right now. But I agree that you would make an ace mod in the future.

Nope! Well.. to be fair I'd do it if I was allowed to only commit 30 minutes a day to doing mod stuff.. but I assume they'll want more of a full-timer than that. ;)
